No. A hormone imbalance can affect men and women of all ages. Generally, symptoms become more apparent the closer you get to andropause or menopause but if you are experiencing any signs of a hormone imbalance it is best to seek treatment.
Diagnosis
First, the doctor will start by looking at a full blood panel and evaluating your levels and overall health. Then the doctor will look at your medical history and discuss symptoms with you. A combination of these things is used to determine if you would benefit from treatment.
During your first appointment, a certified phlebotomist will simply take your blood and send it to a hormone testing lab for a full test. Typically this appointment takes 15 minutes.
During your second appointment, you will meet with one of our medical experts to do a thorough evaluation and create your customized program. This generally takes 30 minutes.
Treatment
The symptoms of a hormone imbalance can be treated in many ways such as pills, creams, gels, pellets, and injections. For men, we use injectable testosterone alongside two other prescription medications to ensure safe use. For women, we use creams.
All of our medications are bioidentical, meaning they are not synthetic and are similar in structure to the hormones your body already produces.
Treatment can last as long as you and the doctor are comfortable. We will consistently monitor your results using bloodwork and follow-up consultations to determine if treatment is still a safe option for you.
No. All of our programs are self-administered and home-delivered. We give you all of the supplies you need for treatment at home. However, we always encourage patients to come into the clinic for body composition analysis or repeat blood work if they would like to measure their goals.

Typically insurance does not reimburse or cover the cost of hormone therapy medications. However, we do accept HSA and FSA cards for treatment and services.
